What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced RAY-kee) is a Japanese method of directing spiritually guided (rei) life force energy (ki) from God and delivering it directly to you. Reiki enables:

  • Deep Relaxation

  • Relief from pain

  • Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health

while also enhancing your innate ability to connect with your natural inner guidance.

Reiki also promotes health of the entire etheric body, which is a subtle energy field that surrounds the physical body. The etheric body could be visualized as a light body net, or a network of highways, gently covering the entire physical body and providing pathways for healthy energy flow.

During a Reiki session, the Reiki practitioner receives the Reiki energy into his or her crown chakra (just above the head), and the Reiki energy is channeled through to the practitioners hands. From the hands, the Reiki energy is delivered to the receiver. The receiver may be sitting or lying down. A typical Reiki session lasts almost an hour, or it may be shorter or longer depending upon an individual's needs.

Gratitude to God, the Source

The source of Reiki and all of its benefits is God. The function of the Reiki practitioner is not to claim credit for the benefits, but is to surrender to be a channel for God's energy ... to be a tool to assist in God's work without ego. Credit and gratitude for the abundance of health and spiritual enlightenment achieved through Reiki is given to God. Thank you, God. AMEN!

Christian Commentary

About 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ of Nazareth said "He who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do" - John 14:12. I can dig it!!!

Reiki For Animals

Reiki isn't just for humans. Reiki can also be used to help animals. Big or small, short or tall, leather or fur, bark or purr.

Jay Prichard is a 4th Degree Reiki Master following the Usui and Sei Chem Reiki methods. Jay began practicing Reiki in 1996.

Points About Reiki

  • Above all else, Reiki can only work for your higher good and can do no harm.

  • During a Reiki session, the Reiki practitioner places the hands just above the body surface, working in the body's subtle energy field (the etheric body).

  • Reiki does not use physical manipulation of the body tissues. This makes Reiki an excellent alternative for those sensitive to touch.

  • Reiki does not require removal of clothing.

  • Reiki complements massage, chiropractic and alternative health methods, and traditional medicine.

  • Reiki is not a religion and does not require any specific belief system.

  • Reiki practitioners are not licensed medical doctors and do not diagnose or prescribe. However, doctors may also be Reiki practitioners.

  • Reiki practitioners can not guarantee a particular outcome.

  • Reiki is unconditional and completely non-judgmental. Reiki is for everyone! Everyone is deserving of God's blessings, including YOU!

  • Reiki treats everyone with the intent that wherever you are in your life, or whatever you have or have not done, Reiki accepts you with unconditional love and is willing to help you achieve your highest self if you are willing to receive.
